EFFECTIVE RURAL PHOTOJOURNALISM COACHING
AN FTMT & TMF PROJECT 2010
The Coaching project aims at empowering regional photographers with the skills that they may use to visualize grass-root issues. It has been funded by Tanzania Media Fund (TMF) - www.tfm.or.tz
The photographers are coached on how to generate ideas, select approach and visualize them by picture stories. You can also see some highlights on www.photojournalismtanzania.blogspot.com
In Lindi, ten photographers worked on:
v Early Pregnancies
v Environment
v Infrastructures
v Rural Teachers Housing
v Road Signs and Accidents
v Lack of Clean and Safe Water
v Lives of the Homeless
v Artisan Miners
v The Crossing of River Lukuledi
v Sanitation
We encourage each of the photographers to have a unique idea and approach in visualizing so that their final work remains original and independent.
The aim is to have photo stories published in the newspapers as part of improving the quality of photojournalism and the media products in the country. We will also have a book published and an exhibition.
The coaching covers Lindi, Iringa, Mara, Mwanza, Zanzibar and Kigoma in a period of one year.

Karibu sana!
Please don't miss this presentation.
Shule niliyosoma almost 80% ya chakula tulikuwa tunalima wenyewe. Problem yetu we are not creative, hatuoni vitu muhimu exposed to us till they are gone. It is through stadi za kazi that poor teacher can have good house and ofcourse furniture. Awafundishe watoto kufyatua tofali, kujenga...he has manpower though pupils
